In the subject Typography in Design, we were asked to make a specimen book on a specific typeface, selected for us. Using this typeface, we had to demonstrate features and characteristics of the typeface. This assignment progresses from an initial design phase, established in semester one. The learning outcomes emerging from this assignment include the analysis and understanding of the classification system used in typography and its further application into a design task. Allocated the font Bodoni, 1 designed visually appealing ways to present the font including exploring the cultural influences on typography, and the ways in which typography conveys different messages to readers.
